ACME Secures 100,000 MT Green Ammonia Project At IFFCO Kandla Through SECI Auction At ₹54.73/Kg

An e-reverse auction for the production and supply of green ammonia was successfully completed on August 20, 2025, under the SIGHT Scheme (Mode-2A-Tranche-I). The auction was held for Project-I: IFFCO, Kandla, and was conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI). The process aimed to boost India’s clean energy efforts by promoting the large-scale production of green ammonia.

ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited emerged as the top bidder in the auction. The company secured the contract with a winning bid of 54.73 Indian Rupees per kilogram, which was considerably lower than the starting price of 75.51 Indian Rupees per kilogram. This outcome reflects the competitiveness of the bidding process and highlights the growing interest of companies in supporting the transition to sustainable energy solutions.

The project is a major step forward for India’s energy goals, as green ammonia is seen as a cleaner alternative that can help reduce dependence on fossil fuels. With the successful conclusion of this auction, India moves closer to its sustainable development objectives by encouraging innovation and investment in renewable technologies.
