Qixent, a Chicago-based insurtech, has announced the launch of Sunshine Guarantee, the first third-party backed embedded protection program for solar panel owners. Combining parametric technology with an embedded delivery model, the program offers a modern, scalable solution that addresses solar industry challenges while creating clear benefits for both retailers and customers.

Set to debut at the RE+ conference in Las Vegas—one of the clean energy sector’s largest events—Sunshine Guarantee will showcase how real-time data integration and automatic payouts can reshape solar sales. By compensating homeowners when their panels receive less sunshine than forecasted, the program removes uncertainty, boosts buyer confidence, and helps retailers improve conversion rates by up to 30%.

The initiative is powered by Qixent’s AI-native exchange platform, designed to accelerate the rollout of next-generation insurance products. At its core is Exante’s parametric technology, which uses trusted satellite data and predictive modeling to trigger objective, automated payouts based on actual conditions. This eliminates manual claims, streamlines the customer journey, and delivers a frictionless, future-focused insurance experience. “Sunshine Guarantee shows what’s possible when insurance is automated, data-driven, and built into the customer experience,” said Randel Bennett, CEO of Qixent. “By guaranteeing solar performance, we remove risk for solar panel owners. We also give retailers a powerful tool to close more deals, faster. It’s about changing how insurance supports clean energy adoption—making it invisible, reliable, and embedded directly into the buying journey.”
