Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually laid the foundation stone for the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) 300 MW (AC) Solar PV Project at Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh. Marking SECI’s largest self-owned solar installation to date, the project spans 1,047 acres and is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing the country’s renewable energy (RE) targets.
The project is designed to offset a substantial amount of carbon emissions while driving socio-economic benefits in the region. It is anticipated to boost local infrastructure, enhance connectivity, and create both direct and indirect employment opportunities.
Officials said the Ramagiri project will not only scale up clean energy capacity but also support sustainable development and inclusive growth, reinforcing SECI’s leadership in India’s renewable energy transition.
