HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), met with HE Tracy Reynolds, Consul General of Canada in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, to discuss potential areas of collaboration in clean energy and digital transformation.

During the meeting, HE Al Tayer emphasised DEWAโ€™s commitment to strengthening partnerships and exchanging expertise with Canadian institutions and companies, particularly in the fields of sustainability, renewable energy, and advanced technologies. He noted that such collaborations would further enhance the longstanding relationship between the UAE and Canada, driving mutual progress in energy innovation and green development.

The discussions highlighted Dubaiโ€™s expanding clean energy portfolio, including DEWAโ€™s flagship initiative, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park โ€” the largest single-site solar park in the world. The project forms a cornerstone of both the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, supporting the emirateโ€™s target of achieving 100% clean energy production capacity by 2050.
