Bridge and Roof Co. (India) Limited (BANDR) has launched a major e-tender for a large-scale solar power project in Gujarat, signaling another significant step in India’s renewable energy expansion. The notice, issued on October 13, 2025, seeks an associate for the Balance of System (BOS) package for a 600 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project. The project is structured as two 300 MW blocks and will be connected to the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) grid.

The solar farm is set to be developed at the NTPC Renewable Energy Park in the South Block of the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The execution will follow the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode, which means the selected partner will be responsible for the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the entire solar project. In addition to the project execution, the contract includes a crucial Operation & Maintenance (O&M) component. The successful bidder will be required to provide full O&M support for three years after the commissioning of the project, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the facility.

BANDR’s tender is expected to attract major players from the renewable energy sector due to the scale and significance of the project. Companies interested in participating must submit their bids online through the official e-procurement portal. The final date for submission of bids is November 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Technical bids are scheduled to be opened shortly thereafter on November 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM.

The financial requirements for this tender are substantial, reflecting the scale of the 600 MW project. Interested bidders must provide an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹1 crore, which acts as security for their bid. Additionally, the successful bidder will need to furnish a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) equivalent to 3% of the contract value. This guarantees satisfactory execution of the project and ensures financial accountability from the contractor.

This project highlights the growing focus on renewable energy infrastructure in Gujarat, especially in large-scale solar development. By opening this tender, BANDR is creating opportunities for experienced contractors to participate in one of the state’s largest solar PV projects, contributing to India’s broader renewable energy targets. The project also emphasizes long-term sustainability, with a dedicated O&M period ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
