Iberdrola’s Executive Chairman, Ignacio Galán, has been named Best Chief Executive of European Utilities at the 2025 Extel Europe & Emerging EMEA Equities Awards. The recognition accompanies six additional awards received by Iberdrola, including Best Investor Relations Team, Best CFO, Best Board of Directors, Best ESG Program, Best Investor Relations Program, and Best Capital Markets Day within the utilities sector.
These honors reaffirm Iberdrola’s position as Europe’s leading electricity company by market capitalization—and one of the two largest worldwide—highlighting its excellence in corporate governance, transparency, and communication with shareholders.
Since presenting its Strategic Plan on September 24, Iberdrola has increased its market capitalization by more than €3 billion, surpassing €108 billion and reaching an all-time high.
