In a move to bridge the gap between academia and industry, Loom Solar, one of Indiaโ€™s leading solar manufacturing companies, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) โ€” a Central University established under the Ministry of Railways โ€” to co-develop skill-oriented programs tailored to the evolving needs of Indiaโ€™s renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.

The partnership, formalised through a Letter of Intent, seeks to combine Loom Solarโ€™s industry expertise with GSVโ€™s academic and research strengths to strengthen Indiaโ€™s clean energy talent pipeline.

Under the collaboration, Loom Solar and GSV will work jointly on curriculum development, student training, and internship programs. The two organizations plan to co-create academic modules, case studies, and workshops that align classroom learning with real-world industry practices, ensuring students acquire future-ready, practical skills.

Prof. Manoj Choudhary, Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, said the initiative reflects GSVโ€™s mission to create a skilled and future-ready workforce. โ€œOur vision at GSV is to bridge the gap between academia and industry by building a workforce that is not only skilled but also future-ready. This collaboration with Loom Solar strengthens our mission to align education with industry outcomes,โ€ he stated.

Amod Anand, Director and Co-Founder of Loom Solar, noted that the renewable energy sectorโ€™s rapid growth demands a strong talent foundation. โ€œIndiaโ€™s renewable energy sector is growing at an unprecedented pace, and a skilled workforce will be the backbone of this transformation. Through this partnership with GSV, we aim to help shape a generation of engineers and professionals who understand both the technology and the mission behind clean energy,โ€ he said.

The collaboration will also include guest lectures, workshops, and hands-on training sessions to provide students with real-world exposure. Loom Solar will offer internship and live project opportunities, enabling students to apply classroom concepts in practical settings.

Since its establishment, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya has emphasized industry-integrated education to develop employable, industry-ready professionals. This partnership with Loom Solar underscores a shared vision to build a skilled, sustainable, and innovation-driven workforce that will support Indiaโ€™s long-term clean energy and infrastructure goals, including the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
