The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) of Bahrain has invited bids for the wet cleaning of solar panels installed vertically on elevated storage reservoirs (ERSs) across multiple sites in the Kingdom.

Issued under Tender Number 7/2025/EWA (2025-126-PIP-EPD), the project seeks qualified and experienced contractors to provide professional cleaning services for photovoltaic (PV) panels installed at six EWA towers. The tender aims to maintain optimal solar performance by removing dust, dirt, and other environmental deposits that reduce energy efficiency.

The scope of work involves regular wet cleaning of both vertical and rooftop panels using demineralized water and non-abrasive tools to preserve the integrity of panel surfaces. Contractors must adhere to strict safety and environmental standards, particularly for work at height, and provide all manpower, tools, and protective equipment. Detailed post-cleaning reports, including frequency, conditions, and performance observations, are also required.

The tender is open to local and GCC contractors under a public invitation, with a tender fee of BD 15 and an initial bond of BD 500 (valid for 180 days). The contract duration is one year, with possible renewal based on performance.
