DMRC Invites Bids for Supply of Renewable Energy from ISTS-Connected Solar and Battery Systems

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) has issued a Request for Selection (RFS) to identify qualified bidders for the supply of renewable energy (RE) from an ISTS-connected captive generating plant. The project will feature a solar photovoltaic (PV) system integrated with a co-located Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) under a competitive bidding framework.

The tender specifies a substantial tender security of INR 45 crore, which must remain valid for a period of at least 45 days beyond the tenderโ€™s validity period of 180 days. Original tender security, as outlined in clause 18 of the RFS document, must be submitted to the office of the Sr. GM/Contracts by November 17, 2025, before 3:00 PM.

The project has a completion timeline of 15 months from the date of the Letter of Award (LOA). Interested parties are required to pay a non-refundable tender fee of INR 50,000 plus applicable GST, exclusively via RTGS, NEFT, or IMPS.

DMRC has also indicated that the last date for issuing any addendum to the tender is October 31, 2025. Online submission of bids will begin on November 10, 2025, at 9:00 AM, and close on November 17, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The technical bids will be opened online on November 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM, while the financial bids of technically qualified bidders will be announced at a later date.
