Inox Clean Energy Subsidiary Partners With LONGi To Procure 5 GW Of High-Efficiency Solar Modules For Upcoming Clean Energy Projects

Inox Solar Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Inox Clean Energy Limited, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LONGi (H.K.) Trading Limited, a global leader in solar technology. Under this strategic agreement, LONGi will supply up to 5 GW of solar modules over the next three years, marking a significant milestone in advancing Indiaโ€™s solar manufacturing capabilities.

The collaboration aims to strengthen Indiaโ€™s renewable energy ecosystem by enabling Inox Solar to work closely with LONGi to adopt internationally recognized manufacturing and quality standards. This partnership will bridge the technological gap in the adoption of new solar innovations, promoting efficiency and reliability across Indiaโ€™s rapidly growing solar sector. It also aligns with the national vision of self-reliance and sustainability under the Make in India initiative.

The agreement reflects LONGiโ€™s commitment to the Indian market and its role in nurturing a technologically advanced solar manufacturing ecosystem in the country. By sharing its global expertise, technological know-how, and best practices, LONGi aims to empower local partners like Inox Solar to deliver high-performance and durable solar products tailored to Indiaโ€™s energy needs.

Inox Solar Limited has already commenced production at its state-of-the-art solar module manufacturing facility located in Bavla, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The facility currently operates with an initial production capacity of 1.2 GW and is expected to expand to 3 GW in the coming weeks as part of its second-phase growth plan. Additionally, the company is setting up an integrated 5 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Dhenkanal, Odisha, which will further strengthen its role in Indiaโ€™s renewable energy manufacturing landscape.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Devansh Jain, Executive Director of the INOXGFL Group, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, โ€œWe are committed to supporting Indiaโ€™s ambition of becoming a self-reliant solar manufacturing hub. Collaborations such as this are vital in bringing global technology and quality benchmarks to the domestic industry.โ€

Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO Renewables, INOXGFL Group, added, โ€œAligning with a global leader like LONGi allows us to accelerate our journey toward manufacturing excellence. This partnership will help ensure that the Indian market continues to have access to advanced and competitive solar technologies.โ€
