In the first half of 2025, India achieved a remarkable milestone in its clean energy journey, recording the highest-ever solar and wind power generation. This progress helped the country cut nearly 24 million tonnes of carbon emissions and reduce dependence on coal, reflecting its accelerating transition toward a sustainable, low-carbon future. Aligned with this national momentum, GREW Solar, one of India’s fastest-growing solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturers, has announced the launch of its G12R High-Power Series ahead of the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2025 — the country’s leading clean energy exhibition. This launch reinforces India’s ambitious goal of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 and underlines GREW Solar’s commitment to advancing India’s solar manufacturing leadership globally.

The newly launched G12R High-Power Series, with a power output of up to 635 Wp, is designed to deliver superior efficiency and cost-effectiveness for utility-scale projects. The advanced module design helps reduce the total number of modules required per megawatt by 6–8%, effectively lowering balance of system (BOS) costs and simplifying logistics and installation processes. The modules also feature an optimized cell layout and enhanced mechanical strength, offering 6–7% higher container power density and 1.5–3% greater power generation per square meter compared to conventional TOPCon modules. These features make the G12R Series an ideal solution for developers seeking to maximize performance and return on investment in large-scale solar projects.

Commenting on the launch, Dr. Mohammad Rihan, Director General of the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), said, “It is encouraging to see companies like GREW Solar taking decisive steps toward advancing India’s renewable energy vision. The launch of the G12R High-Power Series reflects how Indian manufacturers are not only expanding capacity but also setting new standards in technology and quality. As India moves steadily toward its 2047 energy independence vision, such initiatives play a crucial role in strengthening domestic manufacturing and ensuring long-term energy security.”

Vinay Thadani, CEO and Director of GREW Solar, added, “The G12R High-Power Series is built to meet the evolving needs of utility-scale developers while supporting India’s clean energy goals. As the country moves toward 500 GW of renewable capacity by 2030 and energy independence by 2047, GREW Solar is building a manufacturing ecosystem centered on scale, efficiency, and reliability. Our goal is to combine cutting-edge technology with strong execution to deliver solutions that reinforce India’s leadership in clean energy.”

Sharing his views, Hardip Singh, COO of GREW Solar, said, “At GREW Solar, our focus has always been on operational excellence and disciplined execution. The G12R High-Power Series is the result of deep collaboration between our engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams, all dedicated to delivering high-performance, reliable modules at scale. As we expand our cell and module capacities, our priority remains on ensuring efficiency across all production stages while contributing meaningfully to India’s renewable energy ecosystem.”

GREW Solar currently operates a 6.5 GW PV module manufacturing facility in Dudu, Jaipur, and is expanding its capacity to 11 GW. In parallel, the company is developing an 8 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh. Backed by a recent ₹300 crore fundraise, GREW Solar is accelerating its expansion, innovation, and R&D roadmap, with plans to complete these projects by 2026. Through continuous investment in technology and manufacturing excellence, GREW Solar aims to play a key role in advancing India’s renewable energy goals and solidifying its position as a global solar manufacturing hub.
