Gautam Solar, one of India’s most prominent solar module manufacturers, has achieved a significant milestone by securing a position among the top 10 Indian solar manufacturers in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) in October 2025. With an ALMM-approved solar module manufacturing capacity of approximately 4 GW, this recognition further cements Gautam Solar’s leadership and continued growth within India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy manufacturing landscape.
The company’s approved capacity comprises 3,224 MW from its advanced manufacturing facility in Bhiwani, Haryana, and 710 MW from its Haridwar, Uttarakhand plant—both certified under MNRE’s ALMM framework. These facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and adhere to stringent quality and performance standards. The recognition reflects Gautam Solar’s consistent commitment to maintaining the highest levels of manufacturing excellence, quality assurance, and compliance.
In addition to its current capacity, Gautam Solar is rapidly expanding with the development of a 1 GW tier-1 robotic layup and fully automated solar module production line, which is currently under construction. Once operational, this expansion will elevate the company’s total capacity to 5 GW by the end of 2025, significantly enhancing its production capabilities and supporting India’s broader goal of accelerating domestic solar manufacturing under initiatives such as “Atmanirbhar Bharat” and the National Solar Mission.
Commenting on this milestone, Mr. Gautam Mohanka, Director of Gautam Solar, stated, “Our growing ALMM-approved capacity is a testament to our commitment towards scaling up domestic solar manufacturing and supporting India’s renewable energy ambitions. With advanced production lines, continuous investment in automation, and cutting-edge technology, we aim to deliver high-efficiency, reliable, and truly Made-in-India solar modules for utility, commercial, and rooftop projects.”
This recognition not only solidifies Gautam Solar’s position as a key contributor to India’s clean energy ecosystem but also showcases the company’s long-term vision of innovation and sustainability. The manufacturer continues to invest in next-generation technologies, including G12R TOPCon and other high-efficiency cell architectures, aimed at delivering superior performance and energy yield across diverse solar applications.
By combining robust R&D efforts, modernized manufacturing capabilities, and a focus on automation, Gautam Solar is setting new benchmarks in India’s solar sector. The company’s forward-looking approach aligns closely with India’s mission to achieve 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030 and to strengthen domestic manufacturing under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.
With its expanding footprint, strong technological foundation, and unwavering focus on quality, Gautam Solar is well-positioned to meet the increasing demand for advanced, high-performance solar modules in both domestic and international markets. This achievement not only reinforces the company’s role as a trusted partner in India’s green energy transition but also marks an important step toward creating a more self-reliant and sustainable energy future.
