ReNew Energy Global Plc has achieved a score of 83 in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessmentโthe highest ever for an India-based energy company. With this performance, ReNew ranks among the top 10% of energy companies worldwide and is placed in the 93rd percentile globally, as of October 27, 2025. The assessment is one of the most recognized global benchmarks for evaluating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, covering areas such as climate strategy, workforce development, corporate governance, ethics, cybersecurity, and transparency.
This achievement reinforces ReNewโs position as a global sustainability leader, advancing the clean energy transition and setting new standards for ESG excellence in emerging markets. It also marks the first time an Indian energy company has surpassed the 80-point milestone in this prestigious global benchmark. ReNewโs score represents a 14% improvement over the previous year and a 102% increase since its FY22 debut, reflecting consistent progress in ESG performance. The company recorded notable gains across all three pillars, with a 27% improvement in Social, 23% in Governance, and 6% in Environment, underscoring its commitment to creating measurable impact across all dimensions of sustainability.
