WAPCOS Limited and Power and Energy Consultants India have emerged as winners in the auction conducted by the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) for providing consultancy services for feasibility-cum-detailed project reports (DPR) for solar park development across the state.
The tender, issued this year, aimed to identify consultants capable of preparing DPRs for large-scale solar projects. Together, the two firms secured contracts covering a total capacity of 26.6 GW. WAPCOS won the bid for 5.2 GW of capacity valued at ₹1.239 crore, while Power and Energy Consultants secured 21.4 GW worth ₹4.261 crore.
The auction initially included a 5 GW capacity at Joga, which was later cancelled.
