KP Group has signed a multi-year Framework Agreement with Senvion India to jointly develop up to 2 GW of wind and wind–solar hybrid projects across several Indian states over the next three years. The collaboration involves three KP Group entities — KPI Green Energy Ltd., KP Energy Ltd., and KP Green Engineering Ltd.
The agreement brings together KP Group’s project development and Balance of Plant (BoP) capabilities with Senvion India’s wind turbine technology, aimed at enabling faster, more reliable, and bankable renewable energy project execution. The partnership is backed by Senvion India’s strategic ownership under Global Renewable Energy Development Holding Company Ltd. (GREDHCL), Dubai, the investment arm of the Alfanar Group.
Responsibilities Outlined Under the Framework
Under the terms of the agreement:
KP Group will spearhead project development, including land acquisition, statutory permits, civil works, internal roads, foundations, electrical infrastructure, and grid evacuation up to interconnection points.
Senvion India will supply the wind turbine generators for all identified projects, with supply arrangements executed on a project-specific basis.
Both companies stated that the integrated approach will enhance execution efficiency and deliver a seamless experience for customers seeking large-scale renewable assets.
Statements From Leadership
Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Founder and CMD, KP Group, said the partnership represents a significant step in expanding high-quality wind and hybrid assets in India. “By combining our project development expertise with Senvion’s advanced turbine technology, we are positioned to accelerate the creation of bankable renewable energy assets while contributing to the nation’s clean energy goals,” he said.
Mr. Amit Kansal, CEO & MD, Senvion India, noted that the framework will simplify execution for customers. “This agreement creates a predictable and streamlined pathway from planning to power generation, combining KP Group’s BoP strengths with our made-in-India turbine platforms,” he stated.
Mr. Jamal Wadi, Chairman, Senvion, emphasized that the collaboration aligns with India’s renewable energy ambitions. “By leveraging our complementary strengths, we aim to deliver technically robust projects with long-term sustainable impact,” he said.
