The Agroroot Farmer Producer Company Ltd, a beneficiary of the World Bank-assisted Hon. Balasaheb Thackeray Agribusiness and Rural Transformation (SMART) Project, has invited online bids for a major infrastructure upgrade in Buldhana, Maharashtra. The SMART Project, implemented by the Government of Maharashtra, aims to strengthen agriculture commodity value chains, and this new tender is an important step in modernizing the Agroroot facility in Rohinkhed. The company is seeking bids for the survey, design, fabrication, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 20 kWp on-grid connected rooftop solar PV power plant. This signals a growing focus on sustainable and long-term energy solutions for agribusinesses connected to the project.

The tender includes a broad scope of work, along with a mandatory five-year Comprehensive Maintenance Contract to ensure that the solar power system operates efficiently and reliably over time. Interested bidders have been given clear timelines and instructions for participation. The bid document was made available for download starting November 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for November 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the District Implementation Unit in Buldhana, which applicants must attend.
