The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced an organizational realignment intended to strengthen the agencyโ€™s capacity to implement President Donald Trumpโ€™s agenda aimed at reinforcing American energy dominance. The restructuring is designed to support the Administrationโ€™s priorities of expanding domestic energy production, advancing scientific and technological innovation, and maintaining the safety and readiness of the nationโ€™s nuclear weapons stockpile.

According to the DOE, the changes are expected to enhance operational efficiency and improve the Departmentโ€™s ability to execute its core mission.

U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright stated that the realignment reflects the Administrationโ€™s focus on promoting cost-effective energy policies and improving stewardship of federal resources.

โ€œThanks to President Trumpโ€™s leadership, the Energy Department is aligning its operations to restore commonsense to energy policy, lower costs for American families and businesses, and ensure the responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars,โ€ Wright said. โ€œThese changes will help us better execute the DOE mission of delivering affordable, reliable, and secure American energy for the American people.โ€
