Cosmic PV Power has won a ₹600 crore order from Zetwerk for the supply of 688,947 solar modules rated at 550 Wp, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion into the utility-scale and IPP (Independent Power Producer) market. Dispatches for the consignment have already commenced.

The order represents a strategic shift for the Hyderabad-based manufacturer, which has so far catered primarily to mid-sized EPCs and select OEMs. According to Cosmic PV Power Managing Director Shravan Gupta, the deal strengthens the company’s capability and positioning in the utility-scale solar segment.

The value of the transaction is subject to adjustment following the revision of GST on renewable energy equipment, which was reduced from 12% to 5% effective September 22, 2025. The revised tax structure is expected to support competitiveness and improve financial viability for module suppliers.

Cosmic PV Power is currently operating a 3 GW integrated solar module facility, a significant jump from its earlier 200 MW capacity achieved within two years. Of this, 1.3 GW is already listed under the ALMM (Approved List of Models & Manufacturers), with the remainder under evaluation.

In line with its vertical integration strategy, the company has acquired 60 acres in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, to establish a 4 GW solar cell manufacturing plant. It has also signed an MoU with Indygreen Technologies to develop a 2 GW lithium-ion battery facility, scheduled for completion by March 2026.

The company stated that these investments align with India’s push for domestic manufacturing to support the nation’s long-term clean-energy and net-zero goals. Cosmic PV Power expects the Zetwerk order to serve as a catalyst for additional large-scale project partnerships in the coming months.
