The stage is set for a major leap in global hydrogen cooperation as the H2 Business Partnership Fair prepares to open tomorrow at KINTEX 2, Ilsan, as part of the World Hydrogen Expo 2025 (WHE 2025). Scheduled for December 4–5, the forum is expected to play a pivotal role in expanding international collaboration, technology exchange, and investment in the rapidly growing hydrogen ecosystem.
Organized by the World Hydrogen Expo Organizing Committee—co-chaired by Nam Hoon Kang, Chairman of the Korea Automobile & Mobility Association, and Jae-Hong Kim, Chairman of the Korea Hydrogen Alliance—the event is jointly hosted by the Korea Automobile & Mobility Association, the Korea Hydrogen Alliance, KOTRA, and local governments supporting the Pre-Hydrogen Specialist Enterprise Program.
As one of the flagship side events of WHE 2025, the largest hydrogen industry exhibition in Korea and the Asia-Pacific region, the Partnership Fair aims to create direct business opportunities for domestic hydrogen companies seeking global market entry and foreign investment.
Major International Presence to Drive Business Expansion
This year’s edition builds on the momentum of the inaugural forum held last year, bringing together a robust lineup of global participants. According to the organizers, 36 overseas buyers from nine countries—including China, Japan, Israel, South Africa, India, Australia, Spain, Chile, and Canada—will attend the partnership meetings arranged through KOTRA’s international network.
Around 80–90 Korean hydrogen companies are expected to participate, signaling strong domestic interest and readiness for global expansion.
Several high-profile international energy and hydrogen companies have confirmed their attendance. These include:
- Company H (China) – Developer of clean energy solutions and integrated systems
- Company K (Japan) – Leader in eco-friendly maritime logistics and hydrogen carrier development
- Company F (Australia) – Supplier of hydrogen and fuel-charging infrastructure
- Company I (South Africa) – Key organization advancing an energy transition strategy
Organizers anticipate significant business outcomes as these companies engage directly with Korean firms through structured B2B consultations.
Technology & Investment Briefing to Showcase Policies and Innovation
Running in parallel, the Global Technology & Investment Briefing will feature:
- Presentations by domestic and international investment institutions
- Policy briefings from six major metropolitan governments
- Technology and product showcases by preliminary and established hydrogen specialist companies
This comprehensive program aims to spotlight Korea’s hydrogen technology capabilities, share policy roadmaps, and stimulate new avenues of cooperation and investment.

Commenting on the event, Chairman Kang Nam Hoon emphasized the significance of the initiative “The H2 Business Partnership Fair is a practical platform where domestic hydrogen companies can directly meet overseas buyers, promote their technologies, and strengthen their foundations for global cooperation. Through WHE 2025, we are committed to positioning Korea as a core partner in the global hydrogen value chain.”
