Leading PV manufacturer JinkoSolar has announced that its high-efficiency advanced cell based on TOPCon technology has achieved a certified maximum conversion efficiency of 27.79%, according to Germanyโ€™s ISFH. The company claims this is its 31st world record in cell efficiency or module power. JinkoSolar attributes the latest breakthrough to its new passivated contact architecture, ultra-low optical parasitic absorption, and next-generation metallization processes.

Also, the company recently held a mass-production launch ceremony for its new-generation TigerNeo 3.0 module series. According to JinkoSolar, the product reaches a mass-production efficiency of over 24.8%, delivers up to 670 W of power, and offers a bifaciality of up to 90%. The company claims it has signed 15 GW of contracts for these modules.

In June, Jinko had announced that its 182 mm n-type monocrystalline silicon TOPCon cell achieved a certified full-area conversion efficiency of 27.02%.

Last month, JinkoSolar signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with DKEM, aiming to collaborate on technological innovation for high-efficiency solar cell metallization paste and on low-silver/silver-free metallization technologies for solar cells.
