BayWa r.e. has completed the sale of two UK-based solar farmsโClump Farm in Leicestershire and Yanel Solar Farm in North Somersetโto Capital Dynamics, further expanding its footprint as a leading renewable energy developer in Europe.
The Clump Farm project has an expected capacity of approximately 77 MWp and is projected to generate enough renewable electricity to power around 19,000 homes each year. The 44 MWp Yanel Solar Farm will supply clean power for up to 11,000 households. Both sites were developed in partnership with Grรผne Energien Solar and incorporate measures to enhance biodiversity and preserve the surrounding natural environment.
BayWa r.e. said the transaction strengthens its position as a trusted supplier of renewable energy assets across Europe and supports the acceleration of the energy transition in the UK.

BayWa r.e. Chief Operating Officer Dr. Daniel Gaefke said the deal follows a series of successful project transactions.

The sale caps a milestone year for BayWa r.e. in the UK, with 235 MW of solar projects securing planning approval in 2025, including the companyโs first Development Consent Order for Oaklands Farm Solar Park. The company also received approval for Redshaw BESS, its largest battery energy storage system in Europe.
BayWa r.e.โs UK development pipeline currently exceeds 3.3 GW across solar, onshore wind and battery storage. The company manages more than 1.7 GW of operational renewable energy assets across the UK and Ireland.
