The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has completed the competitive bidding process for a major rooftop solar project at the Rashtrapati Bhavan compound. The project, which comes under the RESCO Mode (Renewable Energy Service Company Mode), is part of the RTSPV-Tranche-III initiative and aims to set up a 1000 kW grid-connected rooftop solar PV system on the buildings within the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises. The official Request for Selection (RfS) number for this project is SECI/C&P/IPP/11/0008/25-26, dated September 9, 2025. The bidding process included both techno-commercial and financial bid openings, which were held on November 25, 2025. A total of 36 companies participated in the techno-commercial stage, including notable players like Alien Energy Private Limited, Arcedo Systems Private Limited, and Zenith Energy Services Private Limited.
After evaluating the financial bids, SECI announced the tariffs offered by the bidders. GRE Renew Enertech Limited emerged as the lowest bidder with a tariff of INR 2.70 per kWh.
