The Sustainability and Innovation Centre of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has launched the CleanTech Alliance initiative, aimed at providing local and international companies with a platform to showcase their contributions to the energy transition and net-zero goals in the UAE and globally.
The CleanTech Alliance enables member organisations to highlight innovative solutions in sustainability, clean energy and renewable technologies, while facilitating networking opportunities with investors and leading innovators in the sector.
Commenting on the initiative, HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, said the Sustainability and Innovation Centre plays a key role in supporting the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050. He noted that the centre serves as a global incubator for clean and renewable energy innovations, fostering advanced technologies, strategic partnerships and growth opportunities that strengthen Dubaiโs and the UAEโs leadership in sustainability.
DEWA said the Sustainability and Innovation Centre attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually, including investors, entrepreneurs, innovators, start-ups, companies and academic institutions from around the world. The centre offers a hub for knowledge exchange and the development of technical and practical expertise in clean and renewable energy.
Under the CleanTech Alliance, members will gain access to the centreโs flagship initiatives and exclusive opportunities to present their solutions. They will also benefit from programmes designed to promote innovation, collaboration and sustainable growth within the clean energy ecosystem.
