LNJ Bhilwara Group Appoints Basant Jain as Joint MD & CEO of Bhilwara Energy

LNJ Bhilwara Group, a diversified Indian industrial conglomerate, has announced the appointment of Mr. Basant Jain as Joint Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bhilwara Energy Limited, the Groupโ€™s clean energy and greentech business platform, including its subsidiaries.

In his new role, Jain will lead the strategic direction and growth agenda of Bhilwara Energy, with a focus on expanding the companyโ€™s renewable energy portfolio, strengthening operational excellence, and driving sustainable value creation across the Groupโ€™s energy and greentech assets.

Jain brings over 25 years of leadership experience across the renewable energy, infrastructure, and clean technology sectors. Prior to joining LNJ Bhilwara Group, he was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aplos Ventures Private Limited, where he focused on strategic incubation and entrepreneurship within the solar and cleantech ecosystem.

Before establishing Aplos Ventures, Jain served as Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Susten for more than 11 years. During his tenure, he played a key role in building the company into one of Indiaโ€™s leading solar project developers and clean energy innovators, overseeing the execution of more than 1,000 MW of solar capacity.

Commenting on the appointment, the Board of LNJ Bhilwara Group said Jainโ€™s deep sector expertise and proven ability to scale energy businesses would be critical as the Group accelerates its clean energy ambitions. The Board added that his leadership would help strengthen the Groupโ€™s contribution to Indiaโ€™s sustainable energy transition.

Jain said he was excited to join the Group at a pivotal moment for the clean energy sector and looked forward to driving innovation, operational excellence, and long-term stakeholder value while advancing the Groupโ€™s sustainability commitments.

Over the course of his career, Jain has also held senior leadership positions at Vedanta Resources, Mahindra Group, Hinduja Renewables, GVK Group, and Raymond, gaining extensive experience in business transformation, strategic planning, operations, and stakeholder management.
