NTPC Commissions Final 78 MW Capacity Of Nokh Solar PV Project In Rajasthan

NTPC Limited, a leading public sector power company under the Government of India, has announced the commercial operation of the second and final part capacity of its Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan. As per a regulatory filing dated December 17, 2025, NTPC has declared the commissioning of 78 MW at Plot-1 of the project, which forms part of the total planned capacity of 245 MW at this location. The commercial operation of this capacity will come into effect from 00:00 hours on December 18, 2025.

The Nokh Solar PV Project is being developed under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, Tranche-III, and is part of a larger 3ร—245 MW solar development planned by NTPC at the Nokh site. With this announcement, the entire capacity planned for Plot-1 of the project has now been brought into commercial operation. NTPC shared the update with both the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE Limited in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.

The commissioning of this capacity has further strengthened NTPCโ€™s overall power generation portfolio. Following this addition, NTPCโ€™s total installed and commercial capacity on a standalone basis has increased to 60,783 MW. On a consolidated group basis, the companyโ€™s total installed capacity has now reached 85,259 MW. This milestone reflects NTPCโ€™s steady progress in expanding its renewable energy presence, particularly in the solar power segment.

The development also underlines NTPCโ€™s broader strategy to support Indiaโ€™s clean energy goals by increasing the share of renewable energy in its generation mix. The official disclosure was authorized by Aditya Dar, Executive Director (Finance), NTPC Limited, confirming the companyโ€™s continued focus on transparency and regulatory compliance.
