Fujiyama Power Systems Limited , a leading Indian rooftop solar solutions provider, has announced the commissioning of its 1 GW solar cell manufacturing plant at Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. The facility was inaugurated by Mr. Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE, and Mr. Rajesh Kulhari, Joint Secretary, MNRE.

The new plant complements Fujiyama’s existing 1.6 GW solar panel manufacturing capacity, of which 1.2 GW is already located at Dadri. The newly added 1 GW solar cell capacity will be fully utilized for captive consumption, strengthening the company’s supply chain and reducing reliance on imported solar cells.

The facility, built at a total investment of Rs. 300 crore funded through internal accruals and debt, will produce Mono PERC DCR-compliant solar cells, enabling Fujiyama to cater to rising domestic demand supported by government subsidy programs.

Pawan Kumar Garg, Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Fujiyama, said, “The commissioning of our solar cell manufacturing facility at Dadri represents a significant step in strengthening Fujiyama’s manufacturing integration. Completed within six months—well ahead of industry norms—the project improves visibility and control across our value chain, reduces dependency on imports, and enhances supply reliability for our solar panel operations. With our focus primarily on the domestic market, this facility also mitigates risks from global trade uncertainties and tariff disruptions.”
