Pace Digitek’s Lineage Power Welcomes Ketan Chitnis As Chief Operating Officer To Lead Battery Energy Storage Systems Initiatives

Lineage Power Private Limited, the materials subsidiary of Pace Digitek Limited, a leading provider of telecom infrastructure and turnkey network solutions, has announced the appointment of Mr. Ketan Chitnis as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In his new role, Mr. Chitnis will oversee global operations and support the company’s strategic growth during a critical phase of expansion.

Mr. Chitnis brings over two decades of leadership experience in the Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) sector. He is widely recognized for his ability to build scalable operations, drive execution excellence, and lead high-impact business transformation initiatives across the energy storage value chain. His experience combines entrepreneurial insight with strategic business acumen, making him well-positioned to strengthen Lineage Power’s operational capabilities.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Krishna Murthy, Head of Human Resources, said that the company is excited to welcome Mr. Chitnis to the executive team. He highlighted Mr. Chitnis’s deep technical knowledge in advanced chemistry cells and his proven expertise in leading large-scale greenfield manufacturing facilities, noting that he is the ideal leader to help scale operations and meet the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions.

On his appointment, Mr. Chitnis said he is eager to join Pace Digitek at this important stage of growth. He stated that the company is building strong capabilities at the intersection of technology, manufacturing, and infrastructure. His focus will be on strengthening execution, scaling technology-led operations, and ensuring that the company’s solutions remain reliable, efficient, and future-ready to support India’s evolving telecom and energy infrastructure needs.

Before joining Pace Digitek, Mr. Chitnis served as Business Head for Energy Storage Solutions at Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Energy (Greentech). During his tenure, he led strategic initiatives in the Advanced Chemistry Cell and ESS businesses, including planning global technology partnerships and developing large-scale manufacturing infrastructures.

Mr. Chitnis’s 17-year career also includes leadership roles at Exide Leclanche Energy Pvt Ltd, Waaree Energies Ltd, and Base Corporation Ltd. His entrepreneurial experience reflects a strong ownership mindset and execution-focused leadership style, which aligns closely with Lineage Power’s core values. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Mumbai University and is a Fellow of the Institution of Valuers.
