Sungrow, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) inverters and energy storage systems (ESS), successfully hosted the Sungrow Malaysia Sustainable Future Energy Summit, bringing together utility, commercial & industrial (C&I), and floating PV (FPV) stakeholders to explore innovations in clean energy and integrated solutions for Southeast Asia.
The summit highlighted Sungrowโs latest technologies, including the PowerTitan 3.0 large-scale ESS, the 1+X 2.0 Modular Inverter, floating PV applications, and C&I-ready solutions such as the SH125CX Hybrid Inverter and PowerStack ST255CS energy storage system. These solutions aim to accelerate Malaysiaโs energy transition while enhancing long-term energy resilience across the region.
Utility-Scale Solutions: PowerTitan 3.0
The PowerTitan 3.0 is a grid-forming energy storage asset designed for high-density deployment. Housed in a standard 20-foot container, it integrates 6.9 MWh of liquid-cooled LFP batteries with a 1.72 MW power conversion system (PCS), providing black-start capability, frequency regulation, and grid stability services. The system allows utilities to integrate larger shares of renewable energy while maintaining system reliability.
1+X 2.0 Modular Inverter
As the worldโs first split-module inverter, the 1+X 2.0 combines the benefits of centralized and string inverters with AI-driven diagnostics to deliver high reliability and stable full-power operation, even in tropical climates prevalent in Southeast Asia.
C&I Solutions: SH125CX + PowerStack ST255CS
For commercial and industrial users, the SH125CX hybrid inverter paired with the PowerStack ST255CS liquid-cooled ESS provides a DC-coupled solution that optimizes existing PV assets. The system reduces retrofit complexity, lowers upfront costs, and supports intelligent energy management to balance self-consumption, cost optimization, and backup power. The compact, integrated design enables faster installation and commissioning, helping enterprises strengthen business continuity while progressing toward sustainability goals.
Industry Insights and Collaboration
The summit featured industry experts including Mr. Wong Chung Hoo and Mr. Ng Bon Leong from TOPS, Mr. Baldesh Singh from S&P, and PhD Farid Putra Bakti, who shared insights on policy evolution, financial outlooks, and technological advancements in building resilient energy systems.
โMalaysia is at a critical stage in diversifying its energy mix and modernizing its power infrastructure,โ said Cobe He, Country Manager, Sungrow APAC. โSungrow is proud to support this journey by delivering reliable, efficient, and locally adapted solutions that advance the countryโs renewable energy goals.โ
The summit underscores Sungrowโs commitment to enabling Southeast Asiaโs transition toward clean, reliable, and resilient energy systems through advanced PV and energy storage technologies.
