The Ministry of Power’s Republic Day tableau at the 76th Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path highlighted India’s remarkable transformation in the power sector, with a strong focus on sustainability, digitalisation, and reliability. The tableau presented a visual narrative of the country’s journey towards building a modern and resilient energy ecosystem that supports economic growth and inclusive development.

Based on the theme “Prakash Ganga” (River of Light), the tableau symbolised the uninterrupted and seamless flow of electricity across the nation through India’s integrated national power grid. It reflected how a unified grid has become the backbone of reliable power supply, connecting diverse regions and ensuring energy access for millions.

One of the key elements of the tableau was a large robotic smart meter, representing the adoption of advanced digital technologies and automation in the power sector. This was complemented by the depiction of wind turbines, underscoring the growing role of renewable energy in India’s electricity generation mix. Together, these visuals conveyed the government’s push towards cleaner energy sources combined with intelligent systems to improve efficiency in power generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption.
