Premier Energies Limited, a key player in Indiaโ€™s renewable energy sector, has achieved a major operational milestone with the commissioning of a new solar cell manufacturing unit. On January 22, 2026, the company informed both the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange about the successful launch of its new facility, marking a strategic step in expanding its production capabilities in the solar energy market.

The new unit, located at the E-City plant in Maheshwaram, Telangana, has a production capacity of 400 MW and is focused on Mono PERC technology, which is known for its high efficiency in converting sunlight into electricity. The project was executed by Premier Energies Photovoltaic Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company. By choosing this specific location and technology, the company aims to strengthen its role in providing high-efficiency solar solutions to meet Indiaโ€™s growing energy demands.

Notably, this expansion was carried out as a brownfield project. Instead of setting up an entirely new facility, Premier Energies upgraded its existing operations at the E-City plant, installing advanced equipment while utilizing existing infrastructure and utilities. This approach allowed the company to increase production more efficiently and manage resources effectively.

With the addition of this 400 MW line, Premier Energiesโ€™ total operational solar cell capacity now stands at 3.6 GW. This growth consolidates its position as a significant manufacturer in Indiaโ€™s solar industry. The announcement was signed by Ravella Sreenivasa Rao, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, and made in compliance with SEBI regulations to ensure transparency for investors and the public. Through this development, Premier Energies continues to contribute to Indiaโ€™s transition toward sustainable energy while enhancing its manufacturing capabilities in Telangana.
