CORNEX has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Al Rajhi Electrical and GREENGRID to support Saudi Arabia’s clean energy transition through large-scale energy storage deployment. The agreement was signed in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, on February 3, and marks an important step in CORNEX’s expansion across the Middle East. It also reflects the growing focus on energy storage as the Kingdom works toward a more sustainable and reliable power system.

Under the agreement, CORNEX will supply 5.5 GWh of advanced energy storage solutions to Al Rajhi Electrical over the next three years. This supply commitment highlights the increasing demand for energy storage technologies in Saudi Arabia, driven by the rapid growth of renewable energy and the need for grid stability. Energy storage systems play a key role in balancing electricity supply and demand, integrating renewable power, and improving overall grid efficiency.

The partnership is aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals, which aim to diversify the country’s energy mix and reduce reliance on conventional energy sources. As part of the agreement, CORNEX will contribute its research, development, and manufacturing expertise to support localization efforts within the Kingdom. This includes providing technical assistance for the construction of local manufacturing facilities, which will help strengthen domestic capabilities and support the development of a local energy storage value chain.

GREENGRID will play an important role in the partnership by offering integrated supply chain services. Its responsibilities will include supporting logistics, coordination, and execution to ensure that projects are delivered smoothly and on time. The involvement of GREENGRID is expected to improve efficiency across the supply chain and help manage the scale and complexity of deploying large energy storage projects.

The agreement reflects strong confidence in CORNEX’s technology and its ability to deliver reliable and efficient energy storage solutions. By working together, CORNEX, Al Rajhi Electrical, and GREENGRID aim to build a localized energy ecosystem that supports long-term sustainability in Saudi Arabia. The partnership is also expected to contribute to job creation, technology transfer, and industrial development within the Kingdom.

As Saudi Arabia continues to invest heavily in renewable energy and grid modernization, partnerships like this are becoming increasingly important. The 5.5 GWh energy storage deployment is expected to support the integration of clean energy, improve energy security, and help the country move closer to its long-term climate and sustainability objectives.
