FirstView successfully hosted Solar Contractors Meet Ranchi 2026 at Chanakya BNR Hotel, bringing together over 350+ EPCs, system integrators, installers, policymakers, financial institutions, and technology providers for a focused day of execution driven dialogue supporting Jharkhand’s growing solar ecosystem.
Designed as a contractor centric platform, the event created a strong space for on ground discussions around PM KUSUM, PM Surya Ghar, project quality, financing access, technology adoption, and scalable execution models for solar professionals across Jharkhand and neighboring regions.
The program commenced with a formal welcome and introduction to the Solar Contractors Meet by Ms. Rama Satija, Associate Director Project Management, FirstView Group, highlighting objective of contractor series to empower EPCs, installers, and system integrators who play a critical role in India’s clean energy transition. The Ranchi edition underscored the region’s rising importance as an emerging solar hub, supported by increasing rooftop adoption, policy momentum, and regional institutional engagement.
Setting the tone for the day, a dedicated knowledge presentation was shared by Mr. Ashwani Ashok, Director Just Transition, Centre for Environment and Energy Development, provided policy linked and execution focused insights, addressing real world implementation challenges and opportunities for contractors operating in eastern India.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Vikash Vijaywargia, Chairman, MSME Sub Committee Solar Business and CEO, Preeti Engineering. He emphasized the evolving role of contractors and MSMEs in driving decentralized solar growth, particularly under government led programs, while stressing the need for quality execution, financial discipline, and long term sustainability.
Participants gained practical market and technology insights through a series of techno commercial presentations by leading solution providers, focusing on inverter innovation, module technology, and project ready solutions aligned with compliance and bankability requirements.

The agenda featured two focused panel discussions.
The first panel, PM KUSUM and PM Surya Ghar. Policy, Process and Execution Realities for EPCs and Installers, explored approval mechanisms, utility coordination, financing realities, and on ground execution challenges specific to Jharkhand.
The second panel, Scaling Opportunities under PM KUSUM and PM Surya Ghar through Smarter Finance and Operations, examined working capital access, operational efficiency, risk management, and sustainable growth strategies for scaling EPC businesses. The discussions offered practical takeaways tailored to regional contractor needs.

The day concluded with the Solar Contractors Awards 2026 and Surya Mitra Awards, recognizing outstanding contractors, EPCs, and solution providers for excellence in execution, innovation, safety practices, and operational performance. The awards were presented by Shri Uday Shankar Kesri, Assistant Electrical Engineer, Jharkhand Bijli Vitaran Nigam Limited, and Mr. Suman Ekka, Chief Program Manager, REC Limited, who joined as Guests of Honor.
