NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), a Maharatna company subsidiary, has officially issued an open tender for the development of a 3 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power project. The project will be installed in “Behind the Meter” mode at BNP Dewas in Madhya Pradesh. The initiative is categorized under miscellaneous works and will follow a “Tender cum Auction” contract form, aiming to expand rooftop solar capacity in the region.
The tender process is designed as a three-cover system. The first cover deals with fee-related documents, the second includes pre-qualification and technical bids, such as site survey undertakings and compliance with technical specifications, while the third cover is for the financial bid, which includes the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and price schedules. This structured approach ensures that bidders meet all technical, financial, and compliance requirements before evaluation.
Participants in the tender are required to provide a substantial Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of โน20,00,000 (Twenty Lakhs), payable to NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited. No exemptions are allowed for the EMD. In addition, a Bank Guarantee (BG) is required as part of the security instruments. Although the summary mentions the BG for the initial deposit, details regarding the long-term Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) or similar security will be specified within the full tender documents, which are available in a file of approximately 8829.93 KB. At this stage, the contract value is classified as “NA.”
The tender follows a strict timeline. Document download and sale started on February 17, 2026, at 01:00 PM. Clarifications from bidders can be submitted until March 3, 2026, at 06:00 PM. The final bid submission deadline is March 9, 2026, at 05:00 PM, and bids will be opened the following day, March 10, 2026, at 03:00 PM. Bidders are required to certify full compliance with critical policies, including the Fraud Prevention Policy, the Integrity Pact, and clauses regarding procurement from countries sharing a land border with India. The validity of submitted bids is set at 120 days.
Interested parties can reach out to the Senior Manager at the NVVN Engineering Office Complex in Noida for additional information. This tender represents a strategic step toward promoting renewable energy through rooftop solar projects in Madhya Pradesh, while also ensuring a transparent and structured procurement process for participating companies.
