LONGi unveiled its latest solar innovations and signed multiple strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) totaling 1.3 GW at the Solar and Storage Live Africa Event in South Africa, reinforcing its commitment to the region and strengthening its role in advancing Africa’s energy transition.
Under the theme “Built for Africa | Engineered for Extremes,” the company presented innovations designed to address the continent’s real-world challenges while continuing to set new benchmarks in solar performance.

A key highlight was the launch of the Hi-MO 9 Hydroclear module, developed for high-dust environments. Dust accumulation remains a major constraint on solar plant efficiency across many parts of Africa, increasing maintenance requirements and reducing energy yield. By integrating LONGi’s Ultra Anti-Dust Technology, the Hydroclear solution significantly reduces soiling losses and enhances long-term system reliability, offering a practical response to local operating conditions.
At the same time, the event provided a platform that marked the African debut of LONGi’s S10 Ultimate Power Module. delivering up to 685W output and 25.4% efficiency, underscoring the company’s ability to push the limits of module performance and provide greater value for commercial applications.

Alongside the launch of these technologies, the signing of multiple MOUs totaling 1.3 GW with key partners represents a major step forward in project development across the region. The agreements reflect strong market confidence in LONGi’s high-efficiency solar solutions and are expected to accelerate deployment on a scale, supporting Africa’s growing demand for reliable and sustainable energy.
“As Africa’s energy demand continues to grow, the need for efficient, reliable, and locally adaptable solutions becomes increasingly critical,” said Ye Xiaohan, President of LONGi Africa Region. “Through continuous innovation and strong partnerships, LONGi is committed to supporting Africa’s sustainable energy future and delivering long-term value to our customers.”

By combining scenario-driven innovation with large-scale collaboration, LONGi continues to demonstrate a clear strategy in Africa, addressing immediate operational challenges while enabling long-term growth through technology leadership and trusted partnerships.
