In Conversation with Mr Anil Bhasin – Executive Vice President , Havells India Ltd.    

1)     Let’s begin with a glimpse of your company’s presence and offerings in India?   

With over a billion dollar turnover, Havells India Ltd is country’s leading FMEG company (Fast moving electrical goods). With 43 branches, 550 plus galaxies, over 6,000 dealers and a strong service network the company has a pan India presence. Havells commenced solar business in 2016 offering end to end customized solar solutions, comprising- Roof top on grid, Roof Top Off grid systems, Solar street lights, Solar Mini Masts and Solar Portables. The offerings cut across consumer and industrial sphere.   

Havells has tied up with Israel based global solar pioneers- ‘SolarEdge’, for On Grid inverters. Havells has strong in house R&D capabilities that has enabled us to create a robust portfolio of off grid products for both residential and institutional segments. Company’s expertise in lighting has further strengthened the portfolio of solar lighting solutions with solar street lights and solar mini masts.   

2)     What have been some of the recent developments at your organization?   

We recently crossed 8MW of on grid roof top installation cut across commercial, industrial and residential segments. These installations are commissioned with Solar Edge inverters – a state of the art optimizer based technology. We have been also certified by the World Bank body , leading the global initiative under the name “Lighting Global “ for off grid DC products  by International Finance Corporation. Our solar street lights and mini masts have been lighting up key areas such as- railways Stations, retail warehouses, village panchayats  etc.
