PROINSO offers a comprehensive service range for PV projects including procurement, engineering, installation and project management. This covers commercial & industrial, utility, residential, diesel-hybrid and off-grid projects worldwide. Its clients include installers, construction companies and corporations. PROINSO’s Qualified Installer Network is the company’s go-to workforce for installation and O&M services; counting over 2,500 professional solar installers.

Over the first 12 years PROINSO grew to become a leading global distribution, integration and technology company in the solar market. It now has over 2.7 GW of projects and operations in over 20 countries across 6 continents. Today the company operates as a private entity with headquarters in Slough, UK, and 3 business units: Distribution & Integration, Technology and EPM.

Through its Distribution & Integration unit PROINSO has executed projects close to 3 GW globally. In India it has crossed the 300 MW benchmark. Its extensive product catalogue includes the full range of solar PV components (inverters, modules, structures and complete balance of system) ensuring the best coverage for all its projects. Global procurement contracts with its strategic suppliers, world-leading PV manufacturers such as SMA, Jinko Solar, Trojan, Huawei, Ingeteam and Omron, combined with over 2.7 GW of projects supplied, put PROINSO at the forefront of distribution and integration for solar systems.

PROINSO Technology offers local installers a direct relationship for PROINSO PV Rack aluminium structures, manufactured in Europe and Asia, and the single-axis solar tracking system, TURNSOLE Powered by OMRON. The tracker, developed in partnership with Japanese corporation OMRON, draws on PROINSO’s 12 years of experience in building, owning and operating trackers and OMRON’s 80+ years of electronics strength in providing a robust and reliable complete solution. This is coupled with the MECASOLAR portfolio for large scale tracker projects.

PROINSO EPM is the company’s project partnership unit focused on using the procurement, engineering and management strengths of both PROINSO and its installer partners to create value for end clients. EPM has demonstrated significant success with completion of over 320 MW of projects of all scales. Currently, PROINSO has close to 25 MW of ongoing projects in India under EPM. Some of its key customers in India include Bosch, Godrej, Tata, Mahindra and Refex Energy. The 15 MW floating solar plant, currently under construction, is PROINSO’s most ambitious project in South Asia to date.

In 2018 PROINSO is targeting growth of sales in tracker based projects, battery storage and C&I integrated solution along with continued internalisation of its EPM unit. Finally, it aims to increase its position as the leading provider of mini-grid solutions which was formally recognised with the 2016 Solar+ Power Rural Electrification award for its off-grid project in Kepulauan Riau, Indonesia.

As a company, PROINSO always strives to stay ahead of the market requirements. Being a global player, it can bring the latest technologies, products and solutions to the fast-developing solar market in India.

PROINSO is committed to corporate social responsibility and is taking active steps to improve health, promote social entrepreneurship, improve education and increase safety for people in underprivileged areas without access to electricity. Solar Energy Solidarity (SES) started in 2011 as a solidarity initiative and umbrella for PROINSO’s corporate philanthropy, aligned with the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Sustainable Development.

In 2016, PROINSO partnered with Yingli Solar to bring SM100 solar lights to underprivileged rural and off-grid communities in Africa and South-East Asia. Together with its local implementation partners in South Africa (Aluwani Foundation), Madagascar (Mercy Ministries) and the Philippines (One Million Lights), PROINSO also partnered with United World Colleges (UWC) to assist students in comparing renewable energy data from different parts of the world.

In India, PROINSO sponsored the Indian Rugby Football Union in its efforts to grow the game and spread awareness of the development programme. This promotes the sport at the grassroots level by engaging with schools, colleges and the wider community.
