The The Solar Energy Corporation of India has once again extended the deadline in its tender for 150 MW of grid-connected floating solar plants in Uttar Pradesh and will now await proposals by July 30.

SECI, a government of India enterprise, published a notice on its website saying it will open the bids on the same date. As part of the tender, it is seeking developers for up to 150 MW of projects under the build-own-operate model.

The targeted capacity will be split in three 50-MW blocks and will be installed on the Rihand Dam, also known as the Govind Ballabh Pant Sagar Reservoir, in the state’s Sonbhadra district. Winners will be awarded 25-year power purchase agreements with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited.

The original Request for Selection was launched on March 16 and targeted 100 MW of projects. The capacity was in April expanded to 150 MW, while the bid submission date was extended a month later.
