The new FuturaSun photovoltaic roof built by CPL CONCORDIA is now fully operational on the BAXI plant in Bassano del Grappa. Each new boiler is created using clean energy.
The 1 MW semi-integrated photovoltaic plant occupies 6,000 sqm of the plant located in the Vicenza province, built by the top facility and energy management firm CPL CONCORDIA, it its capacity as project EPC. The plant was connected in May 2018.
A total of 3,675 FuturaSun FU270P photovoltaic panels were installed, manufactured by the dynamic company based in Padua, a consolidated name on the international photovoltaic scene. The panels are connected to 19 Inverters with a of 8 kilometres of electrical cables installed.
The system provides 992 kWp of power which satisfies 25% of the entire plant’s annual electrical energy requirements, and 100% of requirements for the manufacture of boilers, which previously stood at 10.4 kWh per boiler. Overall annual energy generation amounts to 1,250,000 kWh, with emission saving amounting to 650 t/year of CO2.
In this way BAXI has succeeded in optimising self-consumption of energy generated by the photovoltaic system and rendering the boiler production line renewable in terms of energy.
These results stem from the above-average performance of FuturaSun panels compared to market standards, insofar as they guarantee a contractual yield of at least 90% up to the end of the 20th year, and at least 87% up to the 25th year of photovoltaic module life.
This is not the only way in which FuturaSun photovoltaic panels excel in technical terms. The company is the first manufacturer to obtain IEC 61215:2016 for the quality of its photovoltaic modules and IEC 61730:2016 certification for the safety of its modules, from TÜV Rheinland, Cologne, Germany, after passing 120 tests with flying colours.
