Yes Solar Solutions, a premier solar installer, announced its new office, located in the Banks Commerce Industrial Center in North Charleston, S.C. The solar company has experienced solid growth in the solar market in North Carolina, installing over 600 residential and commercial projects.
It brings experience in various innovative programs like Solarize, for which it has been a designated installer for seven programs. "We are excited to join the other successful solar companies in South Carolina, and to participate in the growth of solar and the growth of the Charleston area," says Kathy Miller, Co-Founder and CEO of Yes Solar. "We feel our extensive residential and commercial solar experience, our expertise with the utility interconnection process, and our national accreditation will make us a valuable addition to South Carolina homeowners and business owners choosing solar as an energy solution."
South Carolina solar is exploding due to the 25% state tax credit for renewable energy plus attractive incentives from utility companies. Combined with the 30% federal tax credit, it has made South Carolina a good place for solar, and for solar companies. Ironically, North Carolina legislature let the state's 35% tax credit expire December 31, 2015, which was one of the considerations in the expansion plans for Yes Solar. The new location will consist of some of the experienced employees from N.C., and the rest of the team will consist of new jobs.
