Novus Green Commissions 1 MW Ground Based Solar Power Plant In Trichy International Airport

Novus Green Commissions a 1MW ground mount fixed tilt solar power plant in Trichi International Airport. Mr Anuj Agarwal, board member of Airport Authority (AAI) inaugurated the power plant on 27th April in the presence of Airport Director Mr. K Gunasekaran and senior AAI officials.  

Novus Green commissioned the power plant in three months after the allocation of the project. Novus Green estimates that the power plant would produce approximately 15.4 lakh units a year, amounting to about 25% of the annual electricity requirement of the Airport. Novus Green built the power plant on CAPEX model which is expected to save 1.23 crores per year to the Airport in the form of electricity expenditure. This is the first among non-metro airports in the southern region to establish a mega watt range solar power plant.
