India's MNRE selects Aryans College of Engineering for green campus

Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has selected Aryans College of Engineering, Rajpura near Chandigarh for developing it as a green campus under its scheme on development of Solar Cities.

In accordance with this ministry's administrative approval on the scheme of "Development of Solar Cities", 12 organizations have been sanctioned a grant of Rs 5,00,000 each for preparing the master plan which should be done within 12 months as per the guidelines in order to develop their campuses as green campuses.

Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh while thanking the ministry for this initiative said that the funds would be released under "Development of Solar Cities" scheme of MNRE. 

Aryans campus has 21 acre lush green land and is far away from the polluted sites of the city. The uncovered area would help utilise renewable energy system such as solar water heater, solar air conditioning, solar dryers, solar cookers, solar pumps, and solar cooking systems for hostels etc in much better way.
