Canadian Solar Inc., one of the world's largest solar power companies, today announced that it has secured a 295 million Brazilian reais (US$80 million) financing from Banco do Nordeste S.A. for its 114 MWp Salgueiro solar power project in the northeast state of Pernambuco, Brazil.

Grenergy, the Spanish company producing energy from renewable sources, has signed an agreement with the American Sonnedix for the construction of two PMGD (Small Means of Distributed Generation) solar plants in Chile with a capacity of 18 MWp and a total investment of 17,5 million dollars.

Canadian Solar Inc., one of the world's largest solar power companies, today announced it has completed the sale of its 18 MWp portfolio of PMGD solar power projects in Chile to Sonnedix. The transaction was closed in December 2018 and the Company expects to recognize the majority of the revenue from the sale of the projects for the fourth quarter of 2018.

Canadian Solar, one of the world's largest solar power companies, has acquired 97.6MWp solar photovoltaic project in Cafayate, Salta Province, Argentina.

The Cafayate Project was awarded in the second public renewable energy tender in Argentina, receiving a USD denominated 20-year Power Purchase Agreement at US$56.28/MWh. Canadian Solar plans to start construction on the plant in July 2018. Once connected to the grid by Q2 of 2019, the plant will generate approximately 235,777 MWh of electricity per year, which will be sold to CAMMESA.

Within the framework of the investment program that ACCIONA Energía is carrying out in Chile, the company has begun the construction of the Almeyda solar plant, the second with photovoltaic technology installed in the Atacama region, mainly to support the electricity supply contract signed with the National Mining Company.
