Growatt Has Been A Leading Inverter Brand In The Rooftop Sector

In Conversation with Mr. Frank Qiao, Co-Founder and Sales Director, Growatt

Let’s begin with a glimpse of your Growatt’s presence and offerings in India?

Up to now Growatt has been deeply engaged in Indian market for more than 7 years. We provide a full range of PV grid-tied string inverters from 1 kW to 80kW, as well as storage solutions including inverter and battery for residential, C&I and utility-scale applications.

What have been the latest trends in demand for your products & services in India?

The latest trend in India is the local manufacturing and service network and these are what we’ve been working on very hard. For local manufacturing, we are looking to finalize in Q2 of 2019. Regarding service network, currently our service center and warehouse are based in Hyderabad. Furthermore, we have already established service offices in 8 major cities, which enables us to provide on site service across India. Our toll-free service hotline has also been set up to provide fast response for our customers.

What are your growth plans for the Indian market? What are the milestones you wish to achieve by the end of this fiscal?

Growatt has been a leading inverter brand in the rooftop sector and we have a lot of advantages in terms of product lineup, quality, customer service etc. This fiscal year we are targeting at 120MW capacity for rooftop solar in India. Additionally, since our large capacity string inverter is now ready for sales, which is perfectly suitable for MW level small projects, we are also looking at opportunities in this sector of India market.

Tell us a bit about the recent technology advancements in your sector?

Our most up-to-date inverter is the Growatt Max series with capacity up to 80kW. It comes with 6 MPPTs, which makes PV configuration very flexible. Furthermore, the inverter is designed with all necessary protections including type II SPD on both AC and DC side, Anti-PID function etc. Its comprehensive functions of string monitoring, waveform recording and IV diagnosis, on the other hand, will bring much more convenience for the maintenance of the PV system.
