FIMER recently successfully commissioned an 8MW Solar PV Project with its advanced PVS980-58 5MVA central inverter for SLP Spinning Mills Pvt Ltd, one of the leading mills in India producing high quality cotton yarn both for domestic usage and export purpose. The project is located at Nellore in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.
The textile industry is one of the leading industries in India continually adopting solar and engaging in environmentally friendly sources such as installing captive power plants, windmills and now Solar power. Many leading textile mills have invested in Solar recognizing the benefits of solar energy which includes electricity savings, clean energy and self-sufficiency in the long term while also reassuring their commitment to climate change through their sustainability efforts. FIMER has catered to the ever-growing demand of the textile sector in India and has delivered about 100 MW supplied to various major textile mills in the country helping the industry to reduce the environmental impact and produce the textile in eco-friendly manner.
FIMER is the first in the industry to introduce its next generation PVS980-58, with 5MVA the single largest inverter block in the market. The 8 MW Solar PV project of SLP Spinning Mills consists of 2 units of FIMER PVS980-58 5MVA inverters, the first inverter of such capacity to be commissioned in India. The plant recently commissioned in July 2020 has been generating an average of 40000 units (KWH) per day resulting in significant savings for the end user. FIMER has been at the forefront of this project and lending a helping hand even at the time of ongoing pandemic. The support rendered by the engineering and service team while installation and commissioning of the plant even during Covid era is appreciated by the end user.
