Renewables Academy Launches New Interactive Online Training Format

The Renewables Academy (RENAC), a Berlin-based provider of renewable energy and energy efficiency trainings, has developed a new training concept for live virtual trainings due to start at the end of October 2020. This year, the highly sought-after ‘Introduction to Renewable Energy Technologies’ face-to-face training will be offered in a compact online format featuring interactive and live elements spread over two weeks. This
will give participants the opportunity to upskill and deepen their knowledge on renewable energy technologies from the comfort of their own homes all over the world, without worrying about possible travel restrictions.

Over the past few months, the RENAC team has developed several virtual teaching methods which have been integrated to form units to make learning an effective, fun and unique experience . Over a 2-week period, RENAC will offer this new digital learning experience comprising of live sessions, virtual classrooms and international networking as part of the training. RENAC continuously strives to make the programme as interactive as possible through a blend of suitable teaching methods.

Participants will be introduced to different renewable energy technologies (photovoltaics, solar thermal, wind energy, biogas and hydropower), their application fields, as well as the economic considerations and basics of system implementation. The training will take place on eight days spread over two weeks. Each training day will consist of a three hour session during which highly motivated instructors will not only transfer their knowledge and experience but also use state-of-the-art training technology and methods for
virtual teaching.

The seminar will be held from 27th October to 06th November 2020. It will be offered in English and each participant is required to have a laptop / PC and a stable internet connection. This training is designed for participants who are interested in getting a good overview of technical and economic aspects of renewable energies and their implementation. This training is relevant for project managers who want to foster the market development of climate friendly and sustainable energy supply.
