GAIL (India) Limited has invited bids for the installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of grid-connected solar rooftop projects of a cumulative capacity of 2.64 MW (DC) on a turnkey basis at its premises in Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh. The winning bidder will take care of the project’s comprehensive operation and maintenance for ten years.
The scope of work includes survey, design, engineering, procurement, inspection, supply, unloading, and storage at site, associated civil works, services, erection, testing, and commissioning of the grid-connected projects with associated power evacuation systems up to the designated substations.
The final date to submit the bids is 11th May 2021 and bids will be opened on the same day. There is no earnest deposit amount to be paid by the bidders. However, the successful bidder should submit a performance bank guarantee of 3% of the total contract value.
As far as the criteria for the bidder is concerned:
- The bidder should have designed, supplied, erected, and commissioned grid-connected rooftop solar power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 5 MW or higher as an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor during the last seven years. Out of the total capacity, the bidder should have installed at least one rooftop solar project of individual capacity not less than 1 MW in a single work order. The reference project should have been in successful operation for at least one year as of the bid submission date.
- Also, the bidder should have operated and maintained grid-connected solar projects of 1 MW capacity or above in a single work order, which should have been in operation for at least one year.
- The bidder should have executed at least one electrical substation of 33 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and transformer, either as a developer or as an EPC contractor, which should have been in operation for at least one as on the bid submission date.
- The bidder’s minimum average annual turnover should be ₹50 million (~$667,438) during the last three years.
