Power giant NTPC said its arm NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (REL) has received a letter of award (LoA) for 325 MW solar projects in the Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd. (RUMSL) at Shajapur Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh from Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.
“NTPC REL has won a capacity of 105 MW worth Rs 2.35 per unit, and 220 MW capacity at Rs 2.33 per unit in the Rewa Ultra Mega Solar’s auction for 450 MW of solar projects at Shajapur Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh,” said the company in an official statement.
Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh presented the LoA to Agar, Shajapur, Neemuch Solar Park capacity of 1500 MW capacity at Bhopal to Mohit Bhargava, CEO (NTPC REL).
Power from these projects would be purchased by State DISCOMs & Railways says the statement.
NTPC has achieved GW capacity through tariff-based competitive bidding.
Last month NTPC had commissioned the largest floating solar PV project of 25 MW on the reservoir of its Simhadri thermal station in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
