On the morning of November 3, 2021, the 2020 National Science and Technology Award Conference was grandly held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The project named “Key Technologies and Equipment and Their Applications of the High-overload and High-power Power Supply System for Islands and Shore Bases” won the second prize of the State Scientific and Technological Progress Award for 2020! This project was Led by Hunan University and jointly developed by multiple units, including Kehua.

The high-power and high-reliability power supply system is the key equipment that ensures fast power supply to special loads on islands, reefs, and ports. The “High-overload and High-power Power Supply System for Islands and Shore Bases” is still addressed by important technical issues. These issues include the fast transformation of high-overload energy, stable system control, and continuous power supply in harsh environments.

After striving against difficulties for over a decade, the project team of “Key Technologies and Equipment and Their Applications of the High-overload and High-power Power Supply System for Islands and Shore Bases” made breakthroughs in core technologies such as the synchronous transformation of high-overload electric power and high-reliability power supply in harsh environments. They developed high-power and high-reliability power supply equipment for islands and shore bases and have gained independent intellectual property rights. The overall technologies of the equipment have reached the international advanced level, and some are in the international leading position.

Kehua is devoted to high-end technologies, products, and markets. The company especially focuses on industrializing technological achievements. They have put the “High-overload and High-power Power Supply System for Islands and Shore Bases” into mass production. In addition, based on this project, they have developed the “10 kW to 1 mW series special power supply products for islands” and applied them to the power supply for islands, ports, docks, shipyards, and ship shores and an offshore oil drilling platform.
