West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd (WBPDCL) invites bids for a 22.5 MW floating solar PV power project on water ponds at thermal power stations on a turnkey basis. The thermal power stations included are Sagardighi Thermal Power Station, Murshidabad district, Santaldih Thermal Power Station, Purulia district, and Bakreshwar Thermal Power Station, Birbhum district.
The work comprises manufacturing and procurement, designing and engineering, erection, testing, supply, and commissioning of solar power plants with 5 years of comprehensive maintenance and operation.
WBPDCL plans to receive the finance of the work from the government of West Bengal with a grant. The Bakreshwar and Santaldih project will take around 12 months to complete from the award of the contract and the Sagardighi project will take 10 months.
