Tata Power Solar, one of India’s largest integrated solar companies and a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power, have received an order of 300MW solar project worth INR 1,731 crore, inclusive of tax from NHPC.
The CPSU scheme of IREDA will develop the project site in Rajasthan. The project is expected to be completed in 18 months. It aims to reduce 6, 36,960 carbon emissions and generate around 750 million units per year. The project installation would use cells and modules manufactured in India.
Dr. Praveer Singh, CEO&MD of Tata Power, spoke about the win and said that “We are honored to have won this important project from NHPC. This win demonstrates the confidence of the industry in our ability develop and deliver high-quality solar projects on schedule using Indian technology.
Tata Power Solar is a pioneer in the implementation and commissioning of large-scale solar or renewable projects. This win brings the company’s order book to INR 13,500 crore, and the total portfolio of utility-scale solar projects to 9.7 GWp.
